Information
Children’s day-care centre
For children aged six months until they start school
The building housing the Kleiner Bahnhof day-care centre dates from 1907 and occupies a prominent location in Wiesbaden above the Henkell sekt factory on Biebricher Allee, opposite the Henkell-Park and the Nassau State Monument.
The facility has places for 118 children on four floors. The four nursery groups each take up to 12 children from the age of six months until they start school.
The mixed-age group contains five children aged two, and 15 children from the age of three until they start school.
The two elementary groups each contain 25 children from the age of three until they start school.
The premises
The two elementary groups are accommodated on the ground floor with direct access to the outdoor grounds, the movement and community room and the protected outdoor area for ball games. The nursery groups are accommodated on the basement level and the ground floor. The mixed-age group meets on the first floor and has its own sleep room.
The other nursery groups can use an air-conditioned sleep room on the top floor. The outdoor area spreads over two levels: the nursery children have their own protected level, while the kindergarten children can play to their heart’s content on the sloping area.
Multilingualism
Promoting natural bilingualism (German/English) is an integral part of our work. An English native speaker is always present to work with the children in the two elementary groups. The working language for the nursery children is German.
Educational concept
Our overall educational concept incorporates the Hessian Education Plan (BEP). We combine proven educational approaches with new developments and findings. We promote personality development and social and learning skills. The main focuses are social integration, promoting cognitive abilities, and providing age-appropriate support to help the children through the day.
Our motivated team and facility managers give your child the feeling of security necessary for discovering new things every day. We offer your child a safe environment for expanding and developing his/her abilities. Our top priorities are the welfare of your child and supporting early childhood development. The team fosters and encourages the children’s all-round development in close consultation with their parents.
Opening hours
Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
