Information
Children’s day-care centre
For children aged six months until they start school
The Campolino day-care centre is located in Taunusstein-Neuhof. A total of 84 children aged from six months to three years play and learn in our nursery, in seven mixed-age groups. Our kindergarten has places for 75 children from the age of three until they start school, divided into three groups.
In September 2013 our day-care centre was certified as a “Reggio-inspired children’s day-care facility”.
The premises
The kindergarten has three spacious, light-filled group rooms with large window facades and covering an area of approx. 70 m2, plus an open-plan play area, a room for parents and staff, toilet facilities, a kitchen and a large outdoor area with age-appropriate equipment.
The nursery has seven light-filled group rooms covering approx. 60 m2 on two floors.
To back up the concept of learning by discovering and exploring, our large open-plan play areas have sand, rice and bean tubs, a dressing-up corner and a music/studio area.
The ground floor houses a large movement room, and a parents’ room is available to parents while their child is getting used to nursery and for discussions with parents. Each floor has spacious, age-appropriate toilet facilities.
Each group room has direct access to the garden, which includes a large sanded play area with slides and swings. The grounds encourage our children to engage in a broad range of outdoor activities every day.
Educational concept
We combine proven educational approaches from Montessori and Reggio pedagogy, bilingual education, movement education and early musical education with new developments and findings.
Our educational activities are based on patience and empathy, safety and challenges, security, respect and the satisfaction of all those involved. We give the children opportunities to act independently and gather a wide variety of sensory experiences.
We aim to be a place where the children can try out their skills and express themselves in many different ways. To this end, we offer them space, time, materials, an aesthetically pleasing environment, recognition and support. We follow the guiding principle that all children are actively and competently involved in constructing their own learning and development processes, with the joy of learning and with their individual strengths.
Various kinds of small group work feed into the day’s activities, e.g. music, movement, project work, art and excursions.
Our team supports and encourages the children’s all-round development in close consultation with their parents.
Opening hours
The Campolino day-care centre is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We offer flexible hours that can be adapted to your individual needs to give you the greatest possible flexibility in your daily routine.
